Dry-type transformers

Characteristics of dry transformer

  • Low loss: The energy-saving effect is excellent, the operation is economical, and maintenance is free.
  • Low noise: The noise level of the product is 10-15 decibels lower than the professional standard JB/T10088-2016.
  • Low partial discharge: discharge capacity and can be controlled below 5PC. Both high and low voltage coils are poured under vacuum and pressure, giving resin insulation both full encapsulation and inter turn immersion. The casting body has a dense curing structure, which is flame retardant, explosion-proof, and does not pollute the environment.
  • High mechanical strength: Due to the high hardness of the compound, prefabricated reinforcement materials are placed inside the epoxy resin encapsulation layer on the inner and outer surfaces of the high and low voltage coils, which has a dense structure similar to steel reinforced concrete. Therefore, the mechanical strength is also greater than that of pure epoxy resin.

Common dry transformer maintenance methods

  • Regularly clean the outer surface of the dry transformer to remove dust and dirt.
  • Check the temperature: Check the temperature of the transformer regularly to ensure the normal operation of the transformer.
  • Check the cable.
    Check the wiring of the dry-type transformer regularly to ensure that the wiring is firm and not loose.
  • Clean the ventilation system.
    The filter will be clogged by dust accumulation, affecting the cooling effect of the transformer. Filters should be cleaned or replaced regularly.
  • Check the insulation regularly.
    Check the condition of the insulation material regularly, such as whether the insulation layer is damaged, whether the insulator is cracked, etc
  • Check major components regularly.
    Such as winding, iron core, etc.
  • Regularly measure the operating parameters of the transformer, such as temperature, current, voltage, etc., and compare with the normal value to adjust or repair in time.
